Our renovations were pretty major. The only parts we kept in our 1950’s bungalow was the Matai floors and the retro art deco front door. With such a big reno, you truly need to find a builder that you can trust, and partner up for six months of your life. We found that in Deek.
Deek was upfront, organized, and guided us through the ‘tradie’ world, he educated us, while taking on the role of project manager, ensuring there weren’t any big surprises.
We passed all the inspections first time, every time, and received our building inspection pass on first submission. This is a testament to Deek’s quality building skills. He is a perfectionist, (a very tidy builder that cleans up after himself too), who is very easy to deal with.
Deek’s skills and management of the project, made renovating fun. It was our first reno project, and we were nervous about going over time and budget. We were pleasantly surprised that neither of the eventuated.
Now we have a gorgeous home, just like how we wanted it. We love coming home -to our sanctuary, and absolutely delight in the fact that it was built and designed on brief, and on time- thanks to Deek and his team.
It’s always quite daunting when you start planning a building project, you don’t know what you don’t know. What Deek was able to do, was give me advice and understanding that put my mind at ease and was able to assist me at all stages of the planning and building process.
He came up with ideas that were out of the box, and transformed my house into my dream home that is a sanctuary. The additional spaces and functionality is great, it really helped to enhance my lifestyle. I was mindful about trying to coordinate all the varying trades that I needed, but Deek coordinated all of that and used his extensive network, which made the whole process so easy. I was able to rely on Deek and the trades people to do an exceptional job and the finish is fantastic. The quality of workmanship was exceptionality high, and the out of the box ideas he came up with to solve my problems were amazing. I was able to modify my house to what I wanted without having to move, and to me that was the ultimate.
Deek provided all the solutions and ideas as well as the workmanship that transformed a normal house into something I had only dreamed of. It was an amazing journey seeing it transform and now I am looking to the next part of the project and just can’t wait!

We engaged with Deek and his team at DDC BOP to replace a decrepit stand alone garage with a far more appropriate one (with built in Man-cave/Rumpus of course) just north of Auckland.
I was really impressed with Deeks engagement and professionalism from the outset, and this was one of the main reasons that we choose to engage his team.

As with any project of this size, there were hiccups along the way, but these were taken in stride, and everything was worked thru to conclusion. Working in project management myself, I really appreciated this pragmatic approach, as it made it far easier to get to the outcome we both wanted.

Deek Tocker was one of the pair of builders responsible for building our new home at 10 Dally Terrace in Three Kings in 2013. It was a difficult site – steep and small – and a bespoke house with nothing usual about it. Throughout the build Deek was brilliant. He is extremely professional, competent and hard-working. Nothing was a problem, and his ‘bedside manner’ with us as clients was excellent. Even extending to patient explanations to me when I had a million questions.
The results of the build are perfect, and the craftsmanship in all areas of the building is second-to-none. Deek seemed to get the best out of all the subbies and to us the site seemed a happy place at all times. Even the neighbors in this quiet suburban street were very complimentary – telling me how nice and how considerate our builders were.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Deek to anyone requiring a builder who can do anything and do it properly, and who is just a very good guy.
